THE ROUTE

Master Plan

The Park to the Nott Ride to Fight Parkinson's ride is staged over 3 days. The ride begins at 8:00am on Thursday, May 16th, from Tavern on the Green in Central Park and ends on Saturday, May 18th at Union College’s Nott Memorial, Schenectady, NY.

In plotting the route, we considered not only the distance, but also safety and scenery - with an eye toward minimizing steep inclines. This spectacular ride includes portions of: the Hudson River Greenway, the John Kiernan Nature Trail, the South and the North Country Trailways, the Dutchess Railtrail, and the Mohawk Hudson Bikeway.

For the first two days, the route is close to the MetroNorth and Amtrak lines. There is also an Amtrak station within walking distance of Union College. On the two nights of the ride, we stay at local hotels/motels in Fishkill and Catskill. A support car (SAG) accompanies us for support.
